A GUIDE TO THE THE YARRAWA BRUSHThe Yarrawa Brush (the Robertson Rainforest) is unique in Australia. Most of the 2500 hectares of original Yarrawa Brush was cleared in the 19th century for agricultural purposes. Small patches remain in places that were unsuitable for farming or where the rainforest was preserved by property owners. Robertson is only 30km from the coast, yet at an altitude of over 700 metres. The high rainfall and heavy mists create a micro-climate particularly suited to cool, temperate rainforests. Please see the references page.
